Cheddar, maple syrup and farm stands, minutes from the door
Mount Holly is farm country. Some of Vermont’s oldest cheesemakers and a handful of family sugarhouses are a short drive from Ten Acres, and a few are close enough to pick up breakfast supplies before the kids wake up.

Come in March and watch the boil
When nights freeze and days thaw, the sap runs and the sugarhouses steam. Pair a late-season ski day with a sugarhouse visit and a stack of pancakes at home.
Cook it all in a full kitchen
Bring home cheddar, farm-stand bacon and fresh syrup. The renovated kitchen has an electric range, a dishwasher and an island for the whole family. Also see the country stores guide.
Drive times from the house are estimates. Farm stands and sugarhouses keep seasonal hours, so check before you go.
